Getting there

Walking

If you're starting from the Jyväskylä city center, head towards the Jyväskylä railway station. From the station, exit and walk towards the main street (Kauppakatu) and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Vapaudenkatu. Turn left onto Vapaudenkatu and walk until you reach the Jyvaskyla City Hall. From City Hall, head towards the lake (Jyvaskyla Lake) and follow the lakeside path (Rantaraitti) going northeast. You will continue walking along the lakeside until you see the Vesilinna Observation Tower on your left side. The walk will take approximately 25-30 minutes.

Public Transport

From Jyväskylä city center, take bus number 1 or 2 from the main bus terminal (Matkakeskus). The buses frequently run and will take you towards the 'Vesilinna' stop. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the Vesilinna stop. Once you exit the bus, head towards your left and follow the path that leads up to the Vesilinna Observation Tower. You should reach the tower within a few minutes of walking.
