To reach Kalpalinna via public transport, take a bus from major towns to Turenki. From the Turenki bus station, Kalpalinna is approximately 3.6 km away. You can take local bus or a taxi to reach the destination. A taxi from Turenki to Kalpalinna will cost approximately €10-15.
Car

If traveling by car, head to Turenki, accessible via Highway 3 (E12). From Päijät-Häme, take Highway 4 towards Lahti, then merge onto Highway 3 towards Helsinki. Take the exit toward Turenki. Follow the signs to Kalpalinna, located on Kalpalinnantie. Parking is available at the resort.

Kalpalinna is a well-known ski center and bike park located in Janakkala, Turenki. Its central location in southern Finland makes it easily accessible from Helsinki, Tampere, and Lahti. The resort offers a variety of ski slopes suitable for all skill levels, as well as downhill biking experiences for all levels. The area's history dates back to 1939 when Karl Ebb established alpine skiing pistes in Kiianlinna, the second in Finland, featuring the country's first ski lift. In 1964, Eino and Osmo Kalpala founded Kalpalinna, incorporating Kiianlinna and introducing Finland's first artificial snow guns. The Kalpala family sold the resort in May 2019, with plans to expand it into a year-round extreme sports center. Today, Kalpalinna offers 3.8 km of slopes and is served by 4 lifts. The slopes cater to all downhill skiers and snowboarders. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, visitors can enjoy other winter activities like sledding and snowshoeing. The resort also features a bike park with downhill biking trails. Facilities include equipment rental services, a ski school, and dining options at Kalpalinna Restaurant and Kalpalinna Cafe. During the summer, Kalpalinna offers outdoor routes and paths for hiking and recreation. The terrain consists of sandy pine forests with significant elevation changes. The highest point, Inkolinna, rises 160 meters above sea level.
