If you are already in Koli National Park and enjoy hiking, you can walk to Large Pine from the park trails. Starting from the Koli Visitor Centre, follow the marked trails towards the eastern part of the park. This route will take you through beautiful landscapes and is a great way to experience nature. The walk to Large Pine will take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have a map or GPS to navigate effectively. There are no costs associated with walking.
Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Koli Visitor Centre. Head south on Koli Road (Road 6) towards Lieksa. After approximately 17 km, take a right onto Alapokrontie. Continue on Alapokrontie for about 5 km until you reach the Large Pine, which is located at Alapokrontie 8, 81720 Lieksa. Parking is available nearby. Parking is free. There are no tolls on this route.
