Ryläys is about 2.4 km by foot from the nearest parking area in Jero. The Ryläys slope has a 150-meter long, 30-meter wide boulder field called the Ryläys 'stonefall,' formed in the Ice Age. Ryläys Hill is a great starting point for visiting Koli. The marked Herajärvenkierros hiking trail runs through Ryläys. From the Ryläys parking area, it's a bit under 2.5 km to the top of the hill.
