From the Neulamäki residential area, access the tower via trails from Juontotie road or the sports field. Follow the marked paths through the forest. The address Mahlatie 18 leads close to the tower, with a dirt road for the final stretch. Note that the trails can be steep and uneven, so wear comfortable shoes.
Public Transport
Take local buses 4 or 8 to the Juontotie I bus stop. From there, follow the walking directions to the tower, taking the trails from Juontotie road. A single ticket within Kuopio costs approximately €4.75 - €8.90, depending on the zones covered. Tickets can be purchased via the Vilkku mobile app or with contactless payment on the bus.
Driving
Drive to Mahlatie 18. Turn right onto the dirt road leading to the tower. Free parking is available at the top of the hill. Be aware that the dirt road may be unpaved and bumpy.
