Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Kouvola. Head southeast on Mannerheiminkatu towards Hovioikeudenkatu. Turn right onto the E18 highway towards Lappeenranta. Continue on E18 for approximately 40 km. Take the exit towards Luumäki/Lappeenranta. Merge onto Lappeenrannantie (Road 6) and follow the signs for Luumäki. After about 10 km, you will reach the Salpa Line Fortification located at Lappeenrannantie 394, 54530 Luumäki. There is adequate parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Kouvola bus station to Luumäki. Buses are operated by Kymenlaakson Liikenne, and you can check the schedule online. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Luumäki, you will need to take a taxi to reach the Salpa Line Fortification, which is about 8 km away. Taxi fare may vary, but expect to pay around €15-20 for this distance. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Luumäki and cycle to the fortification.
