Car
From anywhere in Kymenlaakso, set your GPS to Sapokankatu 2, 48100 Kotka. If you're coming from Kouvola, take the E18 highway towards Kotka. Exit at Kotka and continue on the local roads following signs for the city center. Maretarium is located near the waterfront, and there are parking areas available nearby. Be prepared to pay for parking, which typically costs around €2 per hour.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a train from Kouvola to Kotka. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kotka railway station, you can take bus number 1 or 5 towards the city center. Get off at the 'Sapokka' stop, which is a short walk from Maretarium. Please check the local bus schedules for the latest information. A single bus ticket costs approximately €3.
Walking
If you're already in Kotka city center, Maretarium is within walking distance. From the market square (Kauppatori), head towards the waterfront. Follow the signs pointing to Sapokankatu. The walk is about 15 minutes and offers lovely views of the harbor.
