Arctic Circle at Tuomaan Tupa

Tuomaan Tupa, located in the village of Juoksenki in Pello, Lapland, Finland, marks a popular and accessible crossing point of the Arctic Circle. This far northern latitude is known as the point where, during the winter, the sun does not rise for at least one day, and in the summer, the sun does not set for at least one day. Tuomaan Tupa provides a comfortable rest stop for travelers with a café serving fresh pastries and coffee, a restaurant suitable for large groups, and a shop offering a wide selection of gift items and souvenirs. Visitors can capture the moment with photos by the Arctic Circle signpost. Located approximately 30 km south of Pello's center, Juoksenki offers services for visitors, including the Tuomaan Tupa. In summer, take part in the event "Swim the Arctic Circle" and swim across the river to Sweden at midnight.
