Public Transport
From Helsinki city center, take the metro to Kaisaniemi station. Transfer to tram line 3 towards Katajanokka. Get off at the Katajanokka tram stop and walk towards the waterfront to the ferry terminal. Purchase a ferry ticket to Katajanokanluoto. A single HSL ticket for zones AB costs €3.20. The ferry to the island is an additional cost.
Ferry
The primary access to Katajanokanluoto is via a regularly scheduled ferry from Meritullintori. Meritullintori is located just behind the red Relandersgrund lighthouse boat. The ferry ride takes approximately 10 minutes. A round-trip ticket costs €9 if purchased on the boat or €8 if purchased in advance online.
Walking
From the Katajanokka tram stop, walk towards the waterfront, following signs for the Katajanokanluoto ferry. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes. Purchase a ferry ticket at the terminal. The ferry to the island is an additional cost.
