Getting There

  • Walking

    From the top of the PyhäExpress lift, the Huttu-Ukko Art Route is a short walk. Follow the signs near Restaurant Tsokka. The trail is relatively easy, but sturdy footwear is recommended, especially in winter.

  • Public Transport

    Take a bus from Rovaniemi to Pyhätunturi. From the Pyhä bus stop, you can either hike to the top of Pyhätunturi fell or take the PyhäExpress lift. Bus tickets can be purchased online via Matkahuolto. A single bus fare from Rovaniemi to Pyhä costs approximately €20-€30. The PyhäExpress lift ticket costs around €15-€20 for a round trip.

The Huttu-Ukko Art Route offers a unique experience high on the fells of Finnish Lapland, within the Pyhä-Luosto National Park. Located near the PyhäExpress scenic lift at the peak of Kultakero, the trail was created in collaboration with local artist Tapio Uusitalo and Pyhä Ski Resort. The art installations are inspired by the area's history, lifestyle, myths, and beliefs. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to reflect the changing seasons, creating a dynamic display that evolves throughout the year. In winter, the sculptures are covered in frost and snow, creating a magical atmosphere. As spring arrives, the melting snow reveals the artworks anew. Visitors can reach the art route by taking the PyhäExpress scenic lift or by hiking to the top of Pyhätunturi fell. At the summit, a 360-degree landscape platform offers views of the surrounding fell scenery and Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The Tunturivartija landscape hut provides a place to rest and enjoy the views. The popular Restaurant Tsokka is also nearby.
