Getting There

    From the Helsinki Central Railway Station, exit the station and head towards Kaivokatu, the main street. Continue straight until you reach Mannerheimintie. Turn left onto Mannerheimintie and walk for about 500 meters, passing the National Museum of Finland. Turn right onto Pohjoisesplanadi, and the Johan Ludvig Runeberg Monument will be on your left. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes. No costs are associated with this route.

    From the Helsinki Central Railway Station, take Tram Line 2 or 3 from the tram stop just outside the station. Ride the tram for two stops and get off at the 'Kauppatori' stop. Walk towards the waterfront and turn left onto Pohjoisesplanadi. Walk along Pohjoisesplanadi for about 200 meters to find the Statue of Johan Ludvig Runeberg on your right. A single tram ticket costs approximately €3.10.
