Getting There

• Car

  From Levi, head southeast on Route 79 towards Kittilä. Continue on Route 79 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 5. Turn right onto Route 5 and continue south for about 70 kilometers. Take the exit toward Kuopio and merge onto Route 9. Follow Route 9 for approximately 30 kilometers, then take exit 37 toward Tahko. Follow the signs for Tahko Mountain, and you will arrive at Tahkolaaksontie 1, 73310 Kuopio.

  First, take a bus from Levi to Kittilä. You can catch the bus from the Levi bus station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Kittilä, you will need to transfer to a bus heading to Kuopio. This bus ride takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Kuopio, you may need to take a local bus or taxi to reach Tahkolaaksontie 1, where Tahko Mountain is located.
