The Luova Observation Tower, known locally as Loukajanvuoren näkötorni, is a prominent landmark in the village of Luova, near Kurikka, Finland. Completed in 2005 by the Luova Village Association, the tower rises 28 meters above the summit of Loukajanvuori, which itself stands 141 meters above sea level. This vantage point provides visitors with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, characterized by the vast, flat plains typical of Ostrobothnia.The tower was constructed on the site of an old triangulation tower and has become a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. The tower is accessible year-round and is free to use, making it an inviting spot for spontaneous visits. Near the tower's base, visitors can find two freely accessible laavus (lean-to shelters) and a rentable kota (a traditional Lappish hut), enhancing the site's appeal for outdoor activities. Firewood is usually available, with a voluntary donation system in place to support restocking.Loukajanvuori and its observation tower also offer additional attractions. A nature trail winds around the area, showcasing 50 different tree species. In winter, a 250-meter-long sledding hill provides fun for all ages.
