Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from any location in Päijät-Häme and make your way to Hämeenlinna. Use the E12 highway (also known as Route 3) heading towards Hämeenlinna. Once you reach Hämeenlinna, follow the signs for the city center. As you approach the center, take the exit onto Raatihuoneenkatu. Continue straight on Raatihuoneenkatu until you reach the museum, located at Raatihuoneenkatu 8. There is parking available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

  For those using public transportation, take a train from any major station in Päijät-Häme to Hämeenlinna. Train services are operated by VR, and you can check schedules on their website or app. The train journey typically takes around 30-60 minutes depending on your starting point. Upon arrival at Hämeenlinna train station, exit and walk towards the city center, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. Head down to Raatihuoneenkatu, where the Skogster Museum is located at number 8. Alternatively, you can catch a local bus from the station that goes to the city center.

Once you arrive at the Hämeenlinna bus station, which is close to the city center, it is about a 10-minute walk to Raatihuoneenkatu 8. Follow the signs towards the city center or ask locals for directions to the Skogster Museum.
