Getting There

Car
From the main entrance of Riisitunturi National Park, head east on the Riisitunturintie road. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 5. Turn left onto Route 5 and drive for approximately 30 kilometers. Then, take the exit towards Kuusamo and merge onto Torangintaival road. The tourist center of Karhuntassu will be located at Torangintaival 2, 93600 Kuusamo on your right. The total journey should take around 50 minutes.

Public Transportation
Start at the nearest bus stop within Riisitunturi National Park. Take the bus heading towards Kuusamo, which is available several times a day. Make sure to check the local bus schedule for accurate departure times. After approximately 45 minutes, you will arrive at the Kuusamo bus station. From there, you can either take a taxi or a local bus that goes towards Torangintaival. If taking a taxi, give the driver the address: Torangintaival 2, 93600 Kuusamo. The total travel time may vary, but expect it to be around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the connections.
