From there, follow the signs for the Winter Trail, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill.

If you prefer to walk, start from the center of Rovaniemi, around the Lordi's Square. Head north on Rovaniementie (the main road) for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Ounasvaara area. Once you see the Ounasvaara sign, follow it uphill. The trailhead will be marked, and you will need to walk an additional 500 meters to reach the entrance of the Ounasvaara Winter Trail.
