Getting There

    From Ruka, head south on the Ruka Ski Resort road. After approximately 10 kilometers, take a right turn onto the E75 highway (also known as the 'Kyösti Kallio tie'). Continue on E75 for about 25 kilometers. Look for signs indicating 'Riisitunturi National Park'. You will then turn onto Riisitunturintie. Continue on this road for a few kilometers until you reach the park entrance. Ensure that your car has a GPS or map application to assist with directions.

    Start your journey at the Ruka bus stop. You can catch a bus to Kuusamo, which is the nearest town with public transportation connections. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes.
