Car
From Ruka, head southeast on Route 5 (E75) towards Posio. Continue on E75 for about 40 kilometers. Take the exit towards Saukkovaarantie and follow the signs for Korouoma. The drive should take approximately 45 minutes. Once you reach Saukkovaarantie, look for parking areas near the entrance to Korouoma Nature Preserve.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Ruka to Posio. You can catch the bus at the Ruka bus station. Check the local bus schedules for exact times, as they may vary. The journey takes about an hour. Once in Posio, you can take a taxi (approximately 25 euros) or arrange for a local shuttle service to take you the remaining 20 kilometers to Korouoma. Be sure to confirm the taxi fare with the driver before beginning your trip.
