Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From the center of Savonlinna, head to the Savonlinna Market Square (Savonlinnan tori). Look for the bus stop labeled for Punkaharju. You can take Bus 1 or Bus 2, which usually have signs displaying their routes. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to stop at Laukansaari, which is the nearest stop to Punkaharju Arboretum. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the lake, and you will find the entrance to the Arboretum nearby.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Savonlinna. Cycle towards the direction of Punkaharju, following the bike path along the scenic route by the lake.
