Walking
If you are starting from the Savonlinna Market Square, head east on Olavinkatu street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Koulukatu street. Turn left onto Koulukatu. Follow Koulukatu until it intersects with Raatihuoneenkatu. Turn right on Raatihuoneenkatu and walk until you see the lake on your left. Continue walking along the lakeshore until you reach the Riihisaari island. The Savonlinna Museum is located on this island, and you will find clear signs directing you to the museum entrance.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Savonlinna bus station, take bus number 1 towards Riihisaari. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Get off at the Riihisaari stop. Once you exit the bus, follow the signs that lead you to the museum entrance, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle Rental
For a more scenic route, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Savonlinna. From the rental shop, head towards the lakeshore and follow the cycling paths that lead to Riihisaari. It's approximately a 3 km ride to the museum. There are bike paths along the way, making it a pleasant ride. Once you reach the island, follow the signs to the Savonlinna Museum.
