Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Turku Cathedral, head south on Mariankatu Street towards the river. After about 400 meters, turn right onto Aurakatu Street, which will take you directly to Turku Market Square. Continue walking straight for around 500 meters until you reach the square, which will be on your left.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Turku train station, catch bus number 1 towards 'Ruissalo' or number 2 towards 'Joukahaisenkatu'. You will need to get off at the 'Kauppatori' stop, which is right next to Turku Market Square. The ride will take approximately 10 minutes. The square will be in front of you once you exit the bus.

  • Biking

    If you are renting a bike, start by heading towards the riverbank from the city center. Follow the bike lanes along the Aura River towards the south. After around 1 kilometer, you will see signs directing you to Kauppatori. It’s a scenic ride, and you will reach the market square in about 10-15 minutes.
