Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from the city center of Helsinki. Head southwest on Mannerheimintie (Route 4) and continue straight onto Lönnrotinkatu. After about 2 km, merge onto Route 51 toward Korkeasaari. Follow the signs to Korkeasaari Zoo. There is a parking area available near the entrance of the zoo; parking fees may apply.

  • Public Transportation - Metro and Ferry

    From the city center, take the Helsinki Metro to the Kamppi station. From there, transfer to tram number 9 towards the Kumpula area. Get off at the 'Korkeasaari Zoo' stop. The tram ride costs around €2.80. After getting off the tram, follow the signs to the ferry terminal, where you can catch a ferry to Korkeasaari. The ferry ride is included with your tram ticket if you purchase a day pass.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    You can also reach Korkeasaari Zoo by taking bus number 16 from the city center. Board the bus at the 'Helsinki Central Station' bus stop towards 'Korkeasaari'.
