Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards E18, which is the main highway connecting Uusimaa. From Helsinki, take the E18 towards Ekenäs/Tammisaari. Continue on E18 for approximately 55 km. Take the exit toward Raseborg/Raasepori (Route 51) and follow signs for Raseborgs Slottsväg. The castle ruins are located at Raseborgs Slottsväg, 10700 Snappertuna. There is free parking available near the site.
Public Transportation
To reach Raseborg Castle Ruins via public transportation, take a train from Helsinki to Karis (Kyrkslätt), which is approximately a 50-minute ride. From Karis train station, you can catch a local bus (Bus number 107 or 108) that goes to Snappertuna. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Raseborgs Slottsväg' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the castle ruins. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
Bicycle
For the adventurous, biking to Raseborg Castle is a great option. You can rent a bicycle in Helsinki and take the train to Karis with your bike (ensure to check the bike policy of the train). From Karis, cycle along Route 51 toward Snappertuna. The distance from Karis to the castle is about 15 km, and the ride is scenic, taking approximately 1 hour. Remember to wear a helmet and follow traffic regulations.
