Särkänniemi: A World of Adventure in Tampere

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Helsinki, take the E12 highway towards Tampere. Continue on E12 for about 170 km. As you approach Tampere, follow the signs for Tampere City Center. Take the exit for Laiturikatu and follow the road until you reach Särkänniemi at Laiturikatu 1, 33230 Tampere. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees.

• Train

  To reach Särkänniemi by train, board a train from Helsinki to Tampere at the Helsinki Central Station. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Tampere train station, exit the station and walk towards the bus terminal located adjacent to the train station. From there, you can take a local bus (number 3 or 8) that goes directly to Särkänniemi. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule for times.

• Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus from Helsinki, you can take a long-distance bus service from the Helsinki Bus Station to Tampere. The bus ride usually takes around 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at the Tampere Bus Station, it is a short walk to the train station. Then, follow the instructions for taking a local bus (number 3 or 8) to Särkänniemi. Ensure that you purchase a bus ticket in advance, as well as a ticket for the local bus.
