From the Vaasa city center, head to the main bus station (Vaasan linja-autoasema) located at the intersection of Rautatienkatu and Asemakatu. Look for bus routes that head towards the outskirts of Vaasa. You can take bus number 4 or 5, which typically goes towards the region near the memorial. Make sure to check the bus schedule for accurate departure times. Once you board the bus, stay on for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Alakylä', which is the closest stop to the memorial.

After getting off the bus at the 'Alakylä' stop, head northeast on Alakyläntie street for about 200 meters. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Unnamed Road. Turn left onto Unnamed Road and walk for approximately 500 meters. The Memorial for the Ice Road of the Winter War will be on your right-hand side, easily recognizable by its commemorative features.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in the city center. After renting, head towards the waterfront along the bike paths. Follow the signs towards the Alakylä area. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Alakylä, continue to follow Unnamed Road as described in the walking guidance above.
