Car
If you are driving from the center of Clearwater Beach, head west on Mandalay Ave toward the Clearwater Memorial Causeway. Continue straight for about 0.7 miles. As you approach the causeway, you will see signs for Clearwater Beach Island. Cross the causeway, and follow the road until you reach the island. There is no toll to cross. Parking is available on the island, but it may incur a fee depending on the lot you choose.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, locate the nearest Clearwater Beach Trolley stop. The trolley runs regularly along Mandalay Ave and will take you towards the Clearwater Memorial Causeway. Board the trolley and ride until you reach the Clearwater Beach stop. From there, it is a short walk to Clearwater Beach Island. The trolley fare is approximately $5 for a day pass, which allows unlimited rides for that day.
Bicycle
If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Clearwater Beach. Ride west along Mandalay Ave toward Clearwater Memorial Causeway. Make sure to follow bike lanes and traffic rules. The ride is about 1 mile and takes you directly to the entrance of Clearwater Beach Island. Parking for bicycles is available on the island at designated bike racks.
Walking
If you're in the Clearwater Beach area, you can also walk to Clearwater Beach Island. Start at the beach area and head towards the Clearwater Memorial Causeway. Walk across the causeway, enjoying the views as you go. The walk is about 1 mile from the center of Clearwater Beach and takes roughly 20-25 minutes. There is no cost for walking, and you can enjoy the scenery along the way.
