History and Setting

Opened in April 2017, Caledonia Brewing resides in the former Dunedin Times building from 1924 at 587 Main Street. Founders, local homebrewers passionate about craft beer, named it after the Roman term for Scotland, honoring Dunedin's Scottish roots and sister city Stirling. The unicorn mascot and Saltire flag decor create a distinctive atmosphere in this vibrant downtown spot.

Craft Beer Selection

The brewery focuses on small-batch beers using natural ingredients, offering 15-20 house taps rotating styles like Rat Arsed Scotch Ale, Half Arsed Scottish Ale, Classic Jeff Pale Ale, Hoppiness Monster DIPA, Citredonia IPA, and seasonal options such as Wheat Thunder Cherry or Oatly Doatly Oatmeal Stout.
