Getting There

• Car

  Starting from downtown Crystal River, head west on W Fort Island Trail towards US-19. Turn right onto US-19 N. After approximately 1.5 miles, turn left onto W State Park St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles. The 7 Mile Loop Trailhead will be on your left, located at W State Park St, Crystal River, FL 34428. There is no entrance fee for the trailhead, but check for any parking fees or regulations.

• Public Transportation

  If you are utilizing public transportation, check if local bus services are available that connect to the area near US-19. You may need to take a bus to a nearby stop and then walk approximately 1 mile to the trailhead. Contact local transit authorities for the most current schedule and routes. Be prepared for a short walk along W State Park St to reach the 7 Mile Loop Trailhead.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer biking, rent a bicycle in Crystal River and head west on W Fort Island Trail to connect to US-19. Follow the same direction as cars, taking a left onto W State Park St. The bike ride is roughly 2 miles from downtown, and it’s a scenic route with relatively low traffic.

• Walking

  If you are staying close to the trailhead, you can walk from nearby accommodations. Head towards W Fort Island Trail, then follow it west until you reach US-19. Cross carefully at the pedestrian crossings and continue onto W State Park St. Expect a walk of about 1 to 2 miles depending on your starting point.
