If you're traveling by car, start from downtown Crystal River. Head north on US-19 N (also known as S Suncoast Blvd) for about 2 miles. Then, turn right onto W Fort Island Trail. Continue on Fort Island Trail for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach N Sailboat Ave. Turn left onto N Sailboat Ave, and the Crystal River Preserve State Park will be on your left. There is no entrance fee required to access the park.
