If you're starting from the Destin Harbor Boardwalk, head west towards Gulf Shore Drive. Walk along the boardwalk until you reach Gulf Shore Drive. Turn right onto Gulf Shore Drive and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Highway 98. Cross Highway 98 carefully and continue onto Calhoun Avenue. Follow Calhoun Avenue until it merges into Jolly Bay Road, which will lead you directly towards the jetty area.

If you are near the Destin Commons shopping area, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Head south on Silver Sands Boulevard, then turn left onto Scenic Highway 98. Continue biking along Scenic Highway 98 until you reach the intersection with Calhoun Avenue. Turn right onto Calhoun Avenue, and follow it until you reach the Destin-West Jetty, which is located at the end of the road.

Check the local bus schedule for the Emerald Coast Transit Authority. Take the Route 1 bus from the nearest bus stop to your location. Get off at the stop nearest to Gulf Shore Drive, and from there, walk south towards the jetty. The walk should take about 15 minutes. Follow Gulf Shore Drive until you reach the junction with Calhoun Avenue, then continue straight to reach the jetty.
