Car
If you're traveling by car, you can access Everglades National Park through the main entrance located at 40001 State Road 9336, Homestead, FL 33034. From Everglades City, take US-41 E for approximately 30 miles. Turn left onto State Road 9336 and follow the signs to the park entrance. Be aware that there is an entrance fee of $30 per vehicle, which is valid for 7 days.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Miami-Dade Transit Metrorail to the Dadeland South Station. From there, you can catch the Route 38 bus towards Florida City. The bus will drop you off at the Florida City transit terminal. From Florida City, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service, as there are no direct public transport options to the park. Expect taxi fares to be around $20-$30 for the short ride to the park entrance.
Bicycle
For adventurous travelers, biking to Everglades National Park is an option. You can reach the park through the scenic Shark Valley entrance, located at 36000 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33194. The ride from Miami is approximately 25 miles along the scenic roads. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the way. Note that there are bike rentals available at the park if you arrive without your bike.
