Public Bus
To reach the Sanibel Lighthouse from downtown Fort Myers, you can take LeeTran bus route 50 towards Sanibel Island. Catch the bus at the nearest stop along the route. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Sanibel Island bus stop, it's about a 10-minute walk to the lighthouse. Head east on Periwinkle Way, and you will find the Sanibel Lighthouse located at 112 Periwinkle Way.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Fort Myers and ride to Sanibel Island. Start by heading west on the Edison Bridge which connects Fort Myers to Sanibel Island. Once you cross the bridge, follow the signs to Sanibel, and take Periwinkle Way. The Sanibel Lighthouse is located on the right at 112 Periwinkle Way. The ride is approximately 15 miles and should take around 1 hour.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct route, consider using a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft.
