Walking
If you are in the central area of Fort Walton Beach, start by heading south on Santa Rosa Boulevard. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Miracle Strip Parkway (US-98). Cross the street carefully at the pedestrian crosswalk. Once you cross, continue walking straight on Santa Rosa Boulevard. You will pass several shops and restaurants on your right. After about 1.5 miles, you will see the entrance to Okaloosa Island. Keep walking straight, and soon you will see Okaloosa Island Pier ahead on your left.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Fort Walton Beach. Start from the rental shop and head south on Santa Rosa Boulevard. Continue biking straight for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach Miracle Strip Parkway (US-98). Cross the highway and continue on Santa Rosa Boulevard. After about another mile, you will arrive at Okaloosa Island Pier on your left. There are bike racks available near the pier for parking your bike.
