Bus
From Homestead, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Miami-Dade Transit Bus Route 38 toward 'Pinecrest'. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the 'Pinecrest' station. At 'Pinecrest', transfer to the Metrobus Route 119 toward 'Key Biscayne'. This route will take you directly to 'Crandon Blvd & Lighthouse' stop. From there, walk about 10 minutes down Crandon Blvd to reach the Cape Florida Lighthouse at 1200 Crandon Blvd.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Homestead. Start your ride heading north on US-1 toward Miami. Follow the bike lanes along the road for about 20 miles until you reach Key Biscayne. Once you cross the Rickenbacker Causeway, continue straight on Crandon Blvd for about 2 miles until you reach the Cape Florida Lighthouse. The ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and up for a long walk, you can start your journey from central Homestead. Walk north along Krome Ave (also known as SW 177th Ave) until you reach the bus terminal near Miami. From there, take a bus toward Key Biscayne as described above. This walk is approximately 10 miles and will take a few hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
