Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Homestead, head to the nearest bus stop on Krome Avenue and catch the Miami-Dade Transit Bus Route 30 (the 'Krome Avenue' route). Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach the Government Center station in downtown Miami. Once you arrive at Government Center, exit the bus and walk to the east towards Flagler Street. Turn left onto W Flagler St and walk for about 5 minutes until you arrive at 101 W Flagler St, where the HistoryMiami Museum is located.

• Shuttle Service

  Look for local shuttle services that operate between Homestead and Miami. You can inquire at your hotel or local tourist information centers for shuttle options. Once on the shuttle, inform the driver that your destination is HistoryMiami Museum located at 101 W Flagler St. The shuttle will drop you off near the museum. After disembarking, walk to W Flagler St, and you should see the museum right in front of you.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Homestead. After renting the bike, head north on Krome Avenue towards Miami. Follow the bike lanes, and after about 12 miles, you will reach downtown Miami. Once you approach downtown, find a place to lock your bike near Government Center and walk to W Flagler St. The HistoryMiami Museum is just a short walk from there.

• Walking

  If you're in a central area of Homestead, you can start walking towards the nearest public transportation hub, such as the Homestead Transit Center. From there, take the bus as described above. However, keep in mind that walking directly to Miami is not practical due to the distance (over 20 miles), so public transportation is recommended.
