Walking
If you are in the downtown area of Homestead, start by heading east on NE 1st St toward NE 1st Ave. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-1 (S Dixie Hwy). Turn left onto US-1 and walk north for about 0.5 miles. You will see Tamiami Trail on your right side. The trail is well-marked and has pedestrian access.
Public Bus
You can take the Miami-Dade Transit Bus Route 38 from the nearest bus stop in Homestead. Board the bus heading towards Miami. After about 20 minutes, get off at the Tamiami Trail stop. Once you get off, walk a short distance towards the trail, which will be visible from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from the Homestead city center. Start by heading south on Krome Avenue (SW 177th Ave) which leads directly to Tamiami Trail. Follow Krome Avenue for approximately 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Tamiami Trail. Turn left onto Tamiami Trail, and you'll find various points of interest along the trail.
