Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, the Keys History & Discovery Center is located at 82100 Overseas Hwy, Islamorada, FL 33036. From the center of Islamorada, head south on Overseas Highway (U.S. Route 1). The center will be on your left side after approximately 2 miles. Look for the large sign indicating the entrance. There is parking available on-site, which is free for visitors.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, the nearest bus stop is located along the Florida Keys Transit Route. You can catch the bus heading south on Overseas Highway (U.S. Route 1). Make sure to check the schedule ahead of time, as service may vary. Get off at the stop closest to 82100 Overseas Hwy, and walk approximately 0.2 miles north to reach the Keys History & Discovery Center. Please note that bus fares are typically around $2 per ride.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, there are bike paths along the Overseas Highway. Starting from the center of Islamorada, follow the bike path heading south until you reach the Keys History & Discovery Center at 82100 Overseas Hwy. Be cautious as some sections may have traffic, and always wear a helmet. This option is free, but ensure your bike is in good condition.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby, walking is a viable option. From the nearest accommodation or location in Islamorada, head towards Overseas Highway and walk south. The Keys History & Discovery Center is about a 30-minute walk (approximately 1.5 miles) from most central locations. Ensure you are walking on the designated sidewalks and be cautious of traffic.
