Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From downtown Jacksonville, head to the nearest JTA (Jacksonville Transportation Authority) bus stop. Take the Route 10 bus towards the Jacksonville International Airport. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Fort George Rd and Heckscher Dr. From there, it’s a 15-20 minute walk down Fort George Rd to Bett's Castle, which is located at 11459 Fort George Rd. Follow the road along the waterfront until you reach the castle.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike-share service in downtown Jacksonville. Start your journey by heading east on Forsyth St towards the St. Johns River. Cross the river on the Main Street Bridge and continue on the bike lane until you reach the intersection with Heckscher Dr. Turn right onto Heckscher Dr and follow it for about 6 miles. Then, take a left on Fort George Rd and pedal for about 2 miles until you reach Bett's Castle at 11459 Fort George Rd.
