Public Transit
Start at the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) Skyway station in downtown Jacksonville. Board the Skyway towards the Jacksonville Landing. Once you arrive at the Jacksonville Landing, transfer to the JTA bus route 10 (Arlington) at the nearby bus stop. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the bus stop at Mayport Road & Atlantic Blvd. From there, transfer to the JTA bus route 25 (Mayport) and ride for another 20 minutes, disembarking at the stop near the Mayport Ferry. After getting off, walk towards the ferry terminal and take the Mayport Ferry across the St. Johns River. Upon reaching the other side, follow the signs leading to the St. Johns River Light, which is located a short walk from the ferry terminal along Patrol Rd.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in downtown Jacksonville. Head east on Bay St. and follow the signs to the Jacksonville Riverwalk. Ride along the riverfront until you reach the Mayport Ferry terminal. From there, you can take the ferry across the St. Johns River. After disembarking on the other side, continue on Patrol Rd for a short distance until you reach the St. Johns River Light.

Walking
For a more scenic route, you can walk to the St. Johns River Light if you're staying nearby. Start from the Jacksonville Beach area and follow the beachfront south until you reach Atlantic Blvd. Turn left onto Atlantic Blvd and continue walking until you reach Mayport Road. Follow Mayport Road until you reach the Mayport Ferry terminal. Take the ferry across the St. Johns River, and after you arrive on the other side, walk towards Patrol Rd to find the St. Johns River Light.
