Bicycle
If you're staying in Key Largo, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Head south on Overseas Highway (US-1) towards the Key Largo Park. After about 3 miles, you will see a sign for Long Key. Continue on the bike path alongside the highway until you reach Long Key. It's a beautiful ride with scenic views of the ocean.

Use the local bus service, the 'Florida Keys Transit.' You can catch the bus at any designated bus stop along the Overseas Highway. Make sure to take a bus heading south towards Key West. You will need to get off at the Long Key stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the entrance of Long Key. Be sure to check the schedule for the most current bus times.

Walking
If you're close enough, you can walk to Long Key. Start at the nearest landmark, such as the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. From there, walk south along the beach and follow the path towards the water. Keep walking until you reach the southern tip of Key Largo, where you will find access points to Long Key. Make sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
