Getting There

• Bicycle

  If you're renting a bicycle, start by heading south on Whitehead Street from the center of Key West. Continue until you reach South Street, then turn left. Follow South Street until it intersects with Roosevelt Boulevard. Turn right on Roosevelt Boulevard, and Smathers Beach will be on your left after a short ride. The beach is located at 2601 S Roosevelt Blvd.

• Walking

  For those who prefer walking, from the southern end of Duval Street, walk straight down toward the Southernmost Point. Continue along the shoreline until you reach South Beach, then take the path leading to the east until you reach Roosevelt Boulevard. Turn left on Roosevelt Boulevard, and Smathers Beach will be a short distance ahead on your left at 2601 S Roosevelt Blvd.

• Public Bus

  To get to Smathers Beach via public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop for the Key West Transit system. Board the bus on the Route 1, which runs along the main routes in Key West. Request to get off at the stop near the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard and South Street. From there, it's a short walk to Smathers Beach at 2601 S Roosevelt Blvd.

• Taxi or Rideshare
