Walking
If you're starting from the famous Mallory Square, head southeast on Wall Street toward the intersection with Front Street. Turn left onto Front Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Whitehead Street. Turn right onto Whitehead Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with Duval Street. Turn left onto Duval Street and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. The San Carlos Institute will be on your left at 516 Duval St, marked by a distinct sign.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start at the Southernmost Point Buoy located at 1400 Whitehead St. Head northwest on Whitehead Street, then turn left onto South Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Duval Street. Turn right onto Duval Street and cycle north for about 1 mile. The San Carlos Institute will be on your left at 516 Duval St.
Public Bus
Take the Lower Keys Shuttle from one of its many stops in Key West. Board the bus heading to the downtown area. Get off at the stop closest to Duval Street (check the schedule for the nearest stop). Once you disembark, walk north on Duval Street for a few blocks. The San Carlos Institute will be at 516 Duval St on your left.
Taxi or Rideshare
