Peacock Park: A Serene Escape in Coconut Grove

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Coral Gables area, start at the Coral Gables City Hall, located at 405 Biltmore Way. From there, head east on Biltmore Way until you reach Le Jeune Road (SW 42nd Ave). Turn left onto Le Jeune Road and continue walking north for about 1.5 miles. Once you reach the intersection with US-1 (South Dixie Highway), turn right. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at Peacock Park, located at 2820 McFarlane Rd, Miami, FL 33133. The park is on your right, just before the entrance to the Coconut Grove area.

• Public Transit

  To reach Peacock Park via public transportation, you can take the Miami-Dade Transit Metrobus. Locate the nearest bus stop and board the 24 bus towards 'Coconut Grove.' Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at SW 27th Ave & McFarlane Rd (approximately a 20-minute ride). From the bus stop, walk east along McFarlane Rd for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Peacock Park. The bus fare is $2.25, and you can pay using cash or a transit card.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a nearby bike-sharing program. Start from the Coral Gables Plaza and head north on Ponce de Leon Blvd. Follow the bike lanes as you proceed towards US-1. Once you reach US-1, take a right and continue cycling for approximately 1 mile. Then, turn left onto McFarlane Rd, and you will find Peacock Park on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules. Bike rentals typically cost around $10 per hour.
