Car
If you are driving from downtown Mount Dora, head south on Donnelly Street toward 5th Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-441. Take a left onto US-441 South and continue for about 10 miles. Merge onto FL-429 South (the Wekiva Parkway) and follow the signs for Winter Park. Take exit 37 for FL-436 East toward Altamonte Springs. Continue on FL-436 East, then turn left onto N Orlando Avenue/US-17 S/US-92 E. Follow this road until you reach Winter Park. Lake Virginia will be on your right.

To reach Lake Virginia using public transportation, start by taking the LakeXpress bus route 3 from Mount Dora to the Mount Dora Transfer Station. From there, transfer to route 44 towards Orlando. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at US-441 and FL-436. Walk east along FL-436 until you reach N Orlando Avenue/US-17 S/US-92 E. Turn right onto N Orlando Avenue, and you will find Lake Virginia a short walk ahead on your right.
