If you're traveling by car, start by heading to US-19 N from your current location in Nature Coast. Follow US-19 N until you reach the junction with US-27 S near the town of Chiefland. Merge onto US-27 S and continue driving. Stay on US-27 S for approximately 70 miles, which will take you through several small towns. Look for signs for Sebring as you approach your destination. Once you reach Sebring, take the exit for FL-66 W. Follow FL-66 W until you reach Hammock Rd. Turn left onto Hammock Rd, and after about 2 miles, you will see Highlands Hammock State Park on your right at 5931 Hammock Rd, Sebring, FL 33872.

If you're using public transportation, you will first need to find a bus service that operates in your area and heads to Sebring. The closest Greyhound bus station is in Ocala, which is about 40 miles from Nature Coast. From Ocala, take a Greyhound bus to Sebring. Once you arrive in Sebring, you will need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, or a local taxi service to reach Highlands Hammock State Park. The park is about 10 miles from the bus station, so plan for a short rideshare ride that should cost around $15-$20.

If you're feeling adventurous and want to cycle, you can start from the nearby towns in Nature Coast. Make sure to check the local routes that connect to US-27. From there, you can bike south towards Sebring. Keep in mind that the distance is approximately 70 miles, so plan for a full day of cycling. Bring plenty of water and snacks, and ensure your bike is in good condition for the trip. Once you reach Sebring, follow the same directions as above to Hammock Rd and reach the park.
