Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto US-19 S from your location in Nature Coast. Follow US-19 S for approximately 25 miles until you reach the exit for FL-50 E toward Brooksville. Merge onto FL-50 E and continue for about 10 miles. You will then take a left onto Broad St (FL-41). Continue on Broad St for about 2 miles, and you will find Withlacoochee State Forest at 15003 N Broad St, Brooksville, FL 34601. Look for parking areas as you approach.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take the Citrus County Transit bus (Route 1) to the nearest stop in Brooksville. Once you arrive in Brooksville, transfer to the Hernando County Area Transit service (Route 2) that will take you towards Broad St. You'll need to inform the driver that you are headed to Withlacoochee State Forest. After the bus drops you off at a nearby stop on Broad St, it will be a short walk to the entrance of the forest at 15003 N Broad St. Please check local schedules for exact routes and times, as they may change.
Bicycle
