Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Jacksonville, FL. Get onto I-295 N from downtown Jacksonville. Follow the signs for I-95 N and merge onto I-95 N. Continue on I-95 N for about 12 miles until you reach exit 373 for FL-105 N/Heckscher Dr. Take this exit and turn left onto Heckscher Dr. After about 10 miles, you'll reach a roundabout. Take the first exit onto Florida A1A. Continue on Florida A1A for about 3 miles, and you'll see the entrance to Big Talbot Island State Park on your right. The park is open from 7 AM to 8 PM daily, so plan your visit accordingly.

Using public transportation, you can take the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) bus service. Start by getting on bus route 1 (the 'Red Line') at any bus stop near you that serves this route. Ride the bus until you reach the JTA Rosa Parks Transit Station. From there, transfer to the route 10 bus towards the Jacksonville International Airport. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop near the intersection of Heckscher Dr. and Florida A1A. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach the entrance of Big Talbot Island State Park.
