Car

From Pensacola Beach, head west on Via De Luna Dr toward the intersection with Fort Pickens Rd. Continue to follow Fort Pickens Rd until you reach the junction with US-98. Merge onto US-98 N and continue for approximately 12 miles. Take the exit for I-10 W toward Mobile and merge onto I-10 W. After about 5 miles, take exit 12A for US-29 N toward Pensacola. Follow US-29 N for about 8 miles, and then take exit 1A for Florida 295 S toward Gulf Breeze. Continue on Florida 295 S for 3 miles until you reach the exit for Bauer Rd. Turn left onto Bauer Rd, and the entrance to Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park will be on your left.
Public Transportation

While there are limited public transportation options directly to Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park, you can take the Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) bus route 61 from Pensacola Beach to Pensacola City Center. From there, transfer to bus route 52 toward the University Mall. Disembark at the stop closest to US-29.
