Getting There

    Start by renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in downtown Pensacola. From there, head southeast towards Pensacola Bay, following the signs to the Pensacola Bay Bridge. Once you reach the bridge, continue straight onto the bridge bike lane. After crossing the bridge, follow the road as it turns into Fort Pickens Road. Stay on Fort Pickens Road for about 10 miles until you reach Fort Pickens, which will be on your left.

    Begin your journey at the nearest bus stop in downtown Pensacola. Take the Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) Route 61 towards Pensacola Beach. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest times. Once you arrive at the Pensacola Beach stop, transfer to the Route 62 bus, which will take you directly to Fort Pickens. The bus will drop you off near the entrance of Fort Pickens, where you can explore this historical site.
