Car
If you are driving from Sarasota Beaches, take US-41 South (Tamiami Trail) towards Venice. Continue on US-41 for about 15 miles. Look for the signs for Myakka River State Park. Turn left onto Myakka River State Park Road (CR 780). After about 2 miles, you will reach the entrance to Myakka River State Park. There is a vehicle entrance fee of $6 for a single occupant vehicle or $8 for a vehicle with 2-8 occupants, so be prepared to pay this at the entrance. Once inside the park, follow the road signs to the Canopy Walkway and Observation Tower, which are located approximately 10 minutes from the entrance.

If you prefer public transportation, take the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus route 99 from Sarasota Beaches to the nearest stop on US-41. The bus fare is $1.50 per ride. Once you arrive at the US-41 stop, you will need to call a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) or a taxi to get to Myakka River State Park, as public transit does not go directly to the park. The rideshare or taxi ride from US-41 to the park entrance will cost approximately $15-20, depending on traffic.
